AlphaEngine Global Investment Solutions was incorporated in January 2007 after about 5 years of extensive research on developing and refining the investment approach used while the principals worked on these areas at Mcube Investment Technologies, the parent company of AlphaEngine Global Investment Solutions.

Arun Muralidhar, PhD Chairman and Co-CIO
Arun Muralidhar, has experience in and has written extensively on pension reform, asset allocation and currency management. Arun is Chairman and Founder of Mcube Investment Technologies LLC (www.mcubeit.com), and Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of AlphaEngine Global Investment Solutions (AEGIS), an SEC registered investment advisor that is a subsidiary of Mcube. Both firms assist pension funds and sovereign funds in asset allocation, currency management and external manager oversight through customized investment advice and the award-winning AlphaEngine® technology. Arun is the author of Innovations in Pension Fund Management – Stanford University Press, 2001 (translated into Japanese
and Chinese). He is also co-author with the late Prof. Franco Modigliani on a book on reforming Social Security, titled, Rethinking Pension Reform – Cambridge University Press, 2004 and edited European Pension Reform, Luxembourg Institute of International Studies, 2007. His 2011 book, A SMART Approach to Portfolio Management, highlights the benefit of dynamic management of assets and liabilities. His current research is on The Relative Asset Pricing Model, a term he coined with his co-authors.

Arun has served as Managing Director at FX Concepts Inc (2001-2008)., Managing Director/Head of Currency Research, at J.P. Morgan Fleming Asset Management (1999-2001) and prior to that, he was Head of Research and member of the Investment Management Committee at The World Bank (1992-1999). Arun has also written a number of articles on investment finance and risk adjusted performance measurement and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences globally. He has taught courses/delivered seminars at the MIT Sloan School of Management (for Prof. Modigliani), University of Tokyo (Center for Advanced Research in Finance), George Washington University (Masters of Science in Finance), Hitotsubashi University’s Graduate School of International Corporate Strategy, and Nomura School of Advanced Management. He currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Journal of Performance Measurement and Journal for Investment Consulting, and has served on the Board of the Journal of Asset Management. He holds a PhD in Managerial Economics from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and a B.S. from Wabash College.

Harish Neelakandan, Co-Chief Investment Officer & Managing Director, Portfolio Management
As Co-CIO, Harish shares responsibility for all aspects of investment research and portfolio management.  Previously, he spent six years as Portfolio Manager & Head of Options at Campbell & Co., a Baltimore-based multi-strategy hedge fund.  At Campbell, Harish ran the foreign currency cash and options portfolios.  As a member of the firm’s “Fundamental Working Group,” he also helped manage a quantitative global macro portfolio of equity indices and fixed income instruments.  Prior to that, he was Portfolio Manager & Head of Options Trading at FX Concepts Inc., a New York based firm that manages currency strategies for pension funds, endowments and funds of funds. 
Before joining FX Concepts, Harish was a  Senior Trader at Caxton Associates, a New York hedge fund.  At Caxton, he ran a volatility portfolio consisting of foreign exchange and equity index instruments.  Harish came to Caxton from Merrill Lynch, where he was a Vice President on the foreign exchange options desk for five years.  At Merrill, he was a currency options dealer specializing in vanilla and exotic OTC currency options.  Harish holds an MBA in Finance from MIT’s Sloan School of Management, an MS in Computer Science from the University of South Carolina and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.
Sanjay Muralidhar, CEO, CCO and Co-CIO
Sanjay is also responsible for oversight of company operations, including client engagements and support, business development, strategy and finance. He has worked closely with all the company’s clients and has extensive knowledge of how different clientsglobally have developed and implemented their SMART programs. He brings over 20 years of experience at large multinational corporations as well as entrepreneurial ventures to the company.
Sanjay was previously the Vice President, Finance at iVillage Inc. and, as an officer of the company, helped take it public in March 1999. Prior to that, he spent over six years in various senior corporate and operating finance roles at Reader's Digest Association, most recently as Vice President, Finance for Reader's Digest U.S.A., a division with about $1.1 billion in revenues, and over five years at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he held corporate finance, treasury and financial planning roles. In both these companies he was first introduced to the issues related to managing their pension funds and this formed the base for much of the work he has done in the area over the past 5 years. He has held advisory board positions for a number of venture-backed companies, assisting these companies in areas like strategy, mergers and acquisitions, funding and valuation, and strategic alliances. Sanjay holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Sanjay has also written and contributed to a number of articles on investment finance and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences globally. He is the holder of a US patent, “Method, apparatus and article-of-manufacture for the creation, issuance, valuation/pricing, trading and exercise of options for attendance rights, and derivative instruments thereon”.
